Does bad weather delay arrival?

It is the middle of a heatwave and there is no air conditioning. Is a booking still sensible?

Yes, with adjustments, and they are yours to make rather than hers. Shut the curtains through the afternoon so the room is not baking by evening, open the window an hour before, and if the room has a fan, run it. On the booking itself, soapy work is the format that leaves you cooler at the end than it found you, and lighter oil used sparingly is the adjustment to any of the other formats. Booking later in the evening also helps here, since Amsterdam rooms that face west stay unpleasant until well after sunset.

Do rates go up in peak season, or at Christmas?

No. The figures on each profile hold in every month of the year, on every day of the week and at every hour. What the calendar does change is availability rather than price: certain dates are busy enough that the house names them as peak dates when asked, and on those dates half the fee is asked for ahead of every booking regardless of length or how well the house knows you. That is a deposit rule rather than a surcharge, and the total is the same as it would be in February.

How far ahead should I book in the dark months?

Further than you would in summer, which surprises people who assume winter is quiet. Long dark evenings with nothing outside worth doing are exactly when the longer bookings get written, so Friday and Saturday evenings between November and February fill earlier than the same nights in May. What is the deposit rule, exactly?

If I call the booking off, what happens to the deposit?

It follows the notice you give rather than the hour on the clock. More than twenty-four hours before the booked time, nothing is kept and the whole deposit returns. Inside the final twenty-four hours but before she has left, half the deposit is kept as fee already earned and half comes back. Once she has set out, the deposit is kept in full. Two things soften even that: if somebody else takes the hour you released, the deposit is repaid in full, and if you can show the loss was smaller than the share kept, only that smaller amount stays. No cancellation here leaves you owing damages to the house.

And where the booking carried no deposit at all?

Then the notice scale has nothing to work on. A returning client's same day hour or two at a city address carries nothing ahead of it, so calling it off before she has set out leaves nothing owed at all. Called off once she is already crossing the city, it costs the share of the fee her journey represents, and nothing beyond that is asked for. It is worth writing as soon as you know, because that is the difference between the two outcomes.

Can I move a booking to a different night if the forecast changes?

One move is free. The request has to reach the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time and the new date has to fall within fourteen days, and with both of those met the deposit travels across whole. A second move, or one requested inside the final day, is measured as though a cancellation had been sent at that moment, and whatever is not kept carries over to the new date. A forecast is not force majeure, so rain on the night is a move rather than a free release.

Which format should I take if I have no idea?

Ninety minutes of body to body at 270 euros, in any month. It makes its own warmth, needs nothing from the room and leaves nothing to deal with afterwards, which covers the three ways an evening in an unfamiliar room usually goes wrong. If the room is genuinely hot and airless, take soapy instead. If you are wide awake rather than tired, take tantra. If you cannot decide between those, describe the evening in the thread and an answer comes back with a suggestion and a figure.

Is there a surcharge for a room out at Schiphol?

No surcharge, but it is arranged rather than quoted. The figures are the same ones the centre pays. What is different is the journey: it sits outside the forty to sixty minute window that holds across central Amsterdam, so the drive is agreed with you in writing before an hour is held, and half the fee goes ahead on every airport booking regardless of length or how often you have booked before. Say at the start of the message that you are at the airport and the reply takes that shape from the beginning.

Do you cover anywhere outside Amsterdam?

Central Amsterdam and Schiphol, and nothing else. That is not a matter of distance so much as of keeping the arrival window honest, and a window that holds for the centre stops holding the moment a journey leaves the city. If you are staying somewhere else entirely, the practical answer is to book for a night you are in town rather than to ask for an exception, because the answer to the exception is always the same.

What does she bring, and what should the room already have?

She brings towels, oil and whatever the format needs, and she takes all of it away again. The room needs to be warm, to have a bed with space to move around at least one long side of it, and to have hot water if the booking involves any. Nothing belonging to the room is used beyond its water and its heating. If a format needs more than that, it says so on its own page, and nuru and soapy are the two that do.

Can I book for somebody else as a surprise?

No. Everyone who will be in the room has to know about the booking and has to have agreed to it, and the thread asks about that rather than assuming. How is the balance settled, and in what currency?

Payment by bank transfer is not arranged, and PayPal is not either. The balance is settled on arrival, and cash in another major currency is fine provided the exact sum in that currency is confirmed in writing before she sets out. Nothing is asked for at the door beyond the balance.

The forecast changed and I want to call off ninety minutes booked for tomorrow. What comes back?

All of it, provided your message reaches the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time. Ninety minutes is EUR 270, so EUR 135 went ahead, and at that notice the full EUR 135 is returned. Write instead at eight on the evening itself, with her still at home, and EUR 67.50 stays as fee already earned while EUR 67.50 comes back. Write once she is already out in the weather and the whole EUR 135 remains, unless the hour is taken by somebody else, in which case it is returned in full. A forecast turning ugly is not force majeure, so the scale is what applies.

It is my first booking and I want three hours this evening. Does something have to go ahead first?

Yes, half, and for two separate reasons at once: a first booking always carries it, and so does any session of three hours or more. Three hours for one guest is EUR 540, so EUR 270 is asked for as soon as the hour is agreed in the thread, by card or, if you prefer, through Revolut, Wise or cryptocurrency. Because the evening is today, you also write in that thread that you want the session carried out at once. The other EUR 270 is handed over when she arrives. On a later visit, a same-day hour or two at a city address is settled entirely at the door.

My room never warmed up and I stopped a two hour booking after fifty minutes. Is the rest refunded?

No. A session brought to a close early, for whatever reason and by either side, stays payable for the time that was reserved. Both hours were held for you, she travelled out through a cold evening to reach you, and the remaining hour cannot be offered to anyone else at that point. Beyond the fee for the time held, there is nothing further to pay. If you already suspect before she leaves that one hour is all you want, say so in the thread and the booking becomes an hour at EUR 180 with nothing else to settle.

Who decides what a body to body session holds, and can the weather change it?

Your therapist decides, and nothing outside the window alters that. She states her own limits in her own words in the first minutes of the visit, and those limits hold from then until she picks her bag up again. She is free to decline a booking before it reaches her or after, with no reason owed to anyone, and she is free to end a visit at the point she chooses. If a limit she has already named is pushed at, the visit stops there: the fee for the reserved time remains due, nothing is added on top of it, and the terms put the same rule in flatter language.

Will she ask for a document at the door on a night like this?

She may, and a storm outside makes no difference to it. Whoever booked, and anyone else who will be in the room, has to be twenty-one or over, so a photograph document can be asked for on the threshold. She looks at it once and returns it in the same gesture. It is not copied, not scanned, not photographed, and no line from it is written down afterwards. Does anything about the arrangement change between summer and the dark months?
