Forty to sixty minutes describes a journey inside the ring. Schiphol is a different distance and a different route, so the drive is estimated honestly and confirmed to you in the thread before an hour is held. You get a real time rather than an optimistic one, and the hour is fixed around it. Nowhere beyond Amsterdam and those airport hotels is reached.
It always carries a deposit
Half of whichever figure applies goes ahead on any airport hotel booking, whatever else is true about it, and whether or not you have booked here before. The reason is the journey: it is long enough that a booking called off at the door costs the evening rather than an hour of it.
What an airport room is like to work in
Usually better than an old room in the centre, which surprises people. The heating is modern, it holds, the glazing is double, and in a hot week many of these rooms have cooling that a canal house cannot offer. Towels are plentiful.
